"I composed Heart and Soul America on a windswept beach in Florida. As the waves thundered, and the rain pelted down, I was transported back to my childhood. The unadulterated joy, the days that seemingly lingered forever, precious moments only heaven could deliver. A bolt of lightning brought me back to more recent times, as rain, tears and passion collided, conjuring up memories of intense pain, loss and heartache. Suddenly like a phantom, the Anthem rose up from the ocean, its melody deafening, a tidal wave silhouetted against the blackened clouds, Heart and Soul America was born on that deserted beach. a cry from the core of the soul, encompassing millions of lives spanning centuries. The passion, pain, loss, anguish, despair and desperation, countered by the overwhelming love, hope, joy and compassion, the undying American spirit and the ability to rise above and conquer in the darkest and direst of circumstances. I am privileged to be part of this chapter and together you and I are the Heart and Soul of America and in Love we Stand." Guy Bryant
